Sylvia Wong is Technical Adviser, Adolescents and Youth, for UNFPA’s Asia and Pacific Regional Office. She provides thematic leadership, manages regional youth initiatives and partnerships, and provides strategic guidance on evidenced-based programming, policies, and advocacy with and for adolescents and youth. Previously she was UNFPA Innovation Lead and managed the global UNFPA Innovation Fund, leading initiatives and partnerships to source, implement, and scale-up new solutions for women and girls’ sexual and reproductive health and rights, including leveraging technology, digital learning, and social innovations for youth empowerment. She also served as Technical Specialist on Adolescents and Youth and provided technical support to country teams on ASRH and other youth priorities. She holds joint Masters’ degrees in Public Health and International Affairs from Columbia University in New York, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a minor in Asian Studies, from the University of California, Berkeley.
