Rebecka Lundgren

Rebecka Lundgren is an applied anthropologist with 35 years of experience in implementation science with expertise designing scalable interventions and supporting their expansion. As a member of the ExpandNet Secretariat she is dedicated to advancing the art and science of scaling social and behavior change programs, with attention to the transition from pilot to scale. In her role as Co-Executive Director of the Center on Gender Equity and Health at the University of California and previously as Deputy Director of the Institute of Reproductive Health at Georgetown University, Rebecka has led many scale-up focused initiatives including Passages, a USAID-funded project designed to bridge the gap between science and effective policy and practice through research, technical assistance, and catalytic support for scale up of norms shifting ASRH interventions. She is also applying systems-based scale-up approaches to adolescent SRH and violence prevention interventions in Uganda, Kenya, Niger and DRC. Since 2017, she has been advising efforts to support adaptation and scale of strategies to prevent violence against children, including development of guidelines for INSPIRE and Joining Forces.
