Gwyn has over 25 years of experience in sex­ual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), adolescents and youth, and gender working across 18 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. In her previous role as Senior Program Officer, Impact at Scale on the Family Planning Team at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, she managed a portfolio of investments fo­cused on scaling up high impact practices, serving as the lead for Pakistan and the FP Team’s strategic partnership with the World Bank, including the Global Financing Facility. Prior to that, she served as the foundation’s Senior Program Officer for Adolescents and Youth where she managed a strategic portfolio of investments focused on innovative solutions to address system and user barriers to young people’s access to contraception and scale up of evidence-based interventions. Before joining the foundation, Gwyn served as the Deputy Director for Technical Services at Pathfinder International, where she provided technical leadership and strategic direction to Pathfinder’s global sexual and reproductive health programs. Her deep interest in the science of scale up started early in her career at Pathfinder, where she worked to support government ministries and local NGOs scale up adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health interventions.
