Kabiswa Charles is the Executive Director for Regenerate Africa. He has over 20 years of work experience in the fields related to sustainable environmental and natural resources management climate resilience, regenerative agriculture, gender, health, ESG/sustainability, policy and legislative actions within East Africa. He has particular experience in designing, managing, implementing and scaling-up multisectoral integrated programs, projects that require multiple partnerships and agencies. Over time, he has applied systematic approach to scaling up developed by ExpandNet over the course of planning, implementation, and scale up of these innovative integrated projects and programs and has documented examples of outcomes from this application. Charles is a highly self-motivated individual with capacity to span disciplines and collaborate with governmental, civil society and private sector stakeholders at community, national and international levels. Over the years he has organized, facilitated and provided multi-stakeholder technical support several capacity building on scaling up, developed scaling-up case studies and tools, and co-authored peer-reviewed articles and made high level presentations on scale-up. He has registered success in policy advocacy and has been involved in a number of policy and frameworks development and review processes including integration of health considerations in national and regional policies and frameworks like the Health National Adaptation Plans (H-NAPs), Uganda Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), Climate Change Policy and Act, Mining Policy and Bill, green growth strategies, the East African Community and Uganda Population Health and Environment strategies, among others. Charles holds a Masters Degree in Project Management (MPM) from University for International Cooperation (UCI), Costa Rica.
