Communities of practice
ExpandNet in collaboration with the USAID-supported Evidence to Action (E2A) project helped establish a community of practice (CoP) on Systematic Approaches to Scaling Up reproductive health and other related health interventions. The CoP is guided by a resource team consisting of representatives of 27 organizations working on scaling up who discuss cutting edge issues, work to advance the field of scaling up, and organize activities such as webinars and technical convenings on scaling up for larger audiences.
As the current chair of the E2A CoP, ExpandNet facilitates collaboration with another broader community of practice focused on Scaling up Development Outcomes led by Management Systems International (MSI) and Results for Development (R4D). This CoP encourages cross-sectoral dialogue from development fields such as education, agriculture and rural development.Â
ExpandNet has also been a member of the Implementing Best Practices (IBP) consortium since 2007. Collaboration with IBP has provided an opportunity to disseminate ExpandNet tools and learning with consortium members and others in the context of global and regional meetings as well as the semi-annual consortium meetings.
